One reason I don't like Face Book, way to much "marketing", essentially spam.
I hate it when a site is packed full of all kinds of adds and junk that I am not even interested in.
It is fine if I am looking for a certain type of product, and I like it when I use a search engine
if and when I get results directly related to that kind of product. All to often so called
SEO engineers, are just spammers and they spam the search engines by putting in "key words" and phrases,
that make it where you get results, but most of them point toward some site advertising something totally different,...
for example, one time I did a search on , "images of horses", a bunch of the results where advertisements for poodle shampoo, and dig clothing. ...???? Google has gotten stricter and it is better now, but ..well any way I guess that is another topic.

Of course, for example this site/forum, it is expected and that is what the site is about,
"forum promotion", so that is different. And there are lot's of interesting forums/sites
listed here.
