What do you look for in forums? I look for many different things. Activity is the one which stands out though, you'll hardly see me joining an unactive forum (unless it's new). Also, friendly staff, who are willing to help and solve any problems.
What do you like talking about? Everything and anything. But if I had to choose a couple they would be: Sports, Graphics, General Discussion (Off-topic) and Writing. 😀

Do you like alot of forums or just a few? Well I "like" loads, but I just "love" a select couple.
My ideal forum would be where there's something unique on it, something where you can't find somewhere else, expect your forum.
What do you look for in forums? I look at the style of the forums, if it looks nice and and the forum is running on some nice forum software then that also is a deciding factor as to wether I join. Of course activity is always key as well.
What do you like talking about? Anything really, mostly TV shows and web design/coding etc. Pretty much anything really although a specific subject is usually best with a forum rather than a general discussion forum.
What sections do you like to post in? Like I said above, if the subject interests me I'll post in it but I'm not really a fan of promotion forums, you can't really do anything different on other sites then you can on Forum Promotion so I'd stay away from Promotion forums.
Do you like alot of forums or just a few? I think as little as possible without it turning into a one forum board is nice rather than a long list. If there is a big list I won't join because it's just to hard to scroll and also keep track of posts.
If you had to describe the perfect forum in less than 300 words what would you say?
It has to have a nice design, easy on the eyes and attractive. Must be running phpBB3 or IPB forum software, any others just don't appeal to me. Active user base with people posting pretty much all the time (like here at FP). An Administrator that knows what they are doing and don't side with some members and don't listen to suggestions. Staff that don't think they are above everyone else. Even though they have moderator powers, they are still members of the site. My ideal forum.
something i would suggest is if you're going to make a general chat forum, don't make the homepage as long as an elephant, make most of them sub-boards.

Both are comparative words. FP has only a few forums compared to DP, but FP has a lot compared to a forum with 3 places to post in. I would say the forum names need to initially be general/broad enough to cater for future sub-boards. If you had to describe the pefect forum in less than 300 words what would you say ?
High activity and no totalitarian mindset moderators and admins.
Another thing that I forgot to mention. I hate seeing a brand new forum with tons of adds. Its like the only thing the forum owner cares about is $$$$$$$$$ and not the forum or its members.
As has already been said, I hate going to forum absolutely loaded with ads. I don't mind an advertisement here and there, but just too much is way overboard. I definitely enjoy looking at the music forums as a musician myself, and really only go to 2 forums, One is a guitar forum the other a recording studio forum, and am now trying to make forum for both. I definitely look for my categories, I like to have a broad spectrum so;
