Hi! I would like to say both sites look great but here are a few comments I would like to give you both.
Let's start with Home Away From Home;
firstly your site is bright and has a good use of colour and layout and it is very clear as to what your site is from first glance. However, for me, the header looks a little too low and needs to be pushed to the top as there is a lot of white space at the top of your site. other notes are that you might want to balance your colour scheme throughout the site this will move you away from the large amounts of white space.
But a great site!
Forum Promotion;
Even though I am writing this on the site I am reviewing I would like to say that I am not biased towards them. Overall the site is clearly laid out with information clearly distributed throughout the site. I like the use of bright flat colours (Swiss) and the use of rule of thirds. However, I find the home page to be lacking in design. unlike the forum side of things. maybe try looking at some current styles that are used today to design a page that really sells your site. maybe add sliders or even a video background showing what you as a site do.
