Hi FPers,
What is the most effective way of transferring my mammoth traffic from Facebook froup to my web forum on Xenforo?

I have a facebook group with over 400K members. I have tried all means to make them move to my forum, but i have only manage to get 128 members on board.

What am i doing wrong? How can i get members addicted to my forum? Check out my forum and advice also: www.biztalk.co.ke

Post links to FB that will get your traffic to click on the links to your site. Even add an giveaway on your forum and post about it on FB to lead them to the forum

Trust me, i have been doing that for 3 months now, but i only get a few people joining. And the few that will join, keep quite in the forum. I think they don't log in again!

What is the subject of your facebook group?

If it's different than the forum, then that's probably your answer. Your forum could use a more inviting skin as well.

Yes True, the subject differ. I agree.

Concerning the skin, i haven't been able to buy one. Since am currently not getting any revenue from the site to cater for those overheads. But i may consider changing the look and feel.

May I toss in my 2 cents worth. What is the theme of your Facebook group? It is obvious that your forum's theme is not relevant to the Facebook members. And how do you make your forum relevant? Maybe you can create a board specifically for your Facebook group members. On the other hand, post in Facebook a teaser of your forum from time to time. Just be patient because you don't get results in an instant.

Thanks. It's true. My Facebook group is entire on savings. And the forum is generally about business. All sectors of business and personal finance.

I will consider having a thread to welcome them from Facebook.

Create threads on your forum that adds value and engages users. Post these interesting threads on your Facebook group, also try promoting your post via paid social media ads.
