I may get the iPhone 7 so I have been doing a lot of research about the phone and I can see that it seems quite good except battery life and battery life has always been quite bad on the iPhone. When most flagship android phones has around 3000+mAh battery capacity, the iPhone 7 only has 1960mAh. My question is, how good is the actual iPhone 7 battery? How long does it last before you need to charge it again?
I have heard of mixed reviews on this. Some people say the battery life is quite poor and does badly on tests. However, there are also some people who say that in real life situations, the iPhone 7 is about as good as the android phones when it comes to battery life due to iOS optimisations.
My iPhone 7 lasts an entire day; even longer if you turn on low power mode. iOS, in general, is optimised to take full advantage of everything the hardware has to offer and this is indubitably the edge Apple has when it comes to their offerings. The Plus variant—thanks to the bigger battery—can go toe-to-toe with almost every other phone but that is if you're willing to sacrifice convenience depending on your hand size.
Apple's offering has lower capacity than other flagships on paper and may even lose in terms of hours right out of the box, but what the iPhone excel at is consistency. An Android flagship may beat an iPhone by two or three hours at the beginning but they begin to degrade pretty horribly from experience as they count the months. My old iPhone 6 of two years can still manage to last around 15 to 17 hours almost like it's new while products from other manufacturers gradually fall behind until they eventually struggle to even last a day.
If you have no qualms with the simplicity iOS offers, then you can't go wrong with the iPhone 7. It's a complete joy to use everyday.
I heard its similar to the iphone 6s battery life, which is really good. I have one and it lasts all day long. I can use it heavily for 16+ hours and still have some juice to spare.
