How hard did you try to get your post count?

Yes, I know, but I try to make my posts in quality. Or at least 98% of them are, because of my bump posts and a few others.

I haven't tried to gain my post count. My post count is only so high because of all the service updates I have done over the years and in the early days of this forum I needed to post alot to get and keep the forum active.

At the end of the day, it is merely a number. There is no point wasting hours of your live getting a high post count as you will get nothing back in return. You would have just wasted valuable time and life is short and time is precious.

Well, I only post when I have something to say like everybody else, but you being the Administrator of this forum I wouldn't question you having such a high post count. 😉

If you have to put in a whole lot of effort... what's the point? That's no fun.

Whether you agree with it or not, post counts do carry weight and bring status to certain users, it's just that some value that facet of a user higher than others.

I used to be overly preoccupied with posts because I thought if I didn't have a certain number others wouldn't respect me and consider me newbish. Now I post only when necessary or I want my opinion to be noticed, not because it'll stroke my internet ego.

The reason my post count here is as high as it is is mainly due to exchanges, which don't take time or thought to reply to.

True, yet I believe it's just a good way to contribute to the community by posting.
However, you are correct. That really wasn't what I was say, I was just wondering how long it would take users to get their post count, because I know there are a lot of people with a very high post count on here. 😉

I guess at first I tried to get my count up just to make enough FP$ too get a package and so I could bump my Forum every day but now it's just for fun 🙂

Well, I have multiple theories why I like to jump up my post count.

I want to get on the top posters page (that's pretty awesome, because I'm already on page 5 😀 ), and the fact that posting is fun and it is a great way to contribute to the community rather than just lurking over the forums, hidden so nobody is like "OMG YOUR ONLINE YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!" or something like that. 😛

Post count is just a number. I don't really care about it, it shows how active you are or how much you post, but does it really matter?

I post for FP Cash. 🙂

I honestly have no idea what to do with all of my FP Cash so I'm either going to have to donate it or just suck it up and let it fly up. 😛

I could really careless about posts. I have almost 2500 posts. That is enough.

That's never enough to me. I look at what everyone else has and feel bad about my post count and I want to be on the top page and contribute to the community and all, but I will not stop stacking my post count until I have complete satisfaction with my post count and have decided to do so. Meanwhile, I'm just going to let it fly up first and see how that goes. However, I can't explain why I consider making my post count so high very well. I have multiple theories of this, but Quality>Quanity is what I hear, but I don't really care about that much. You can have a huge quanity of posts and have each one have a lot of quality, which I believe is in my posts and that is what everyone has said to me ever since I have tried to been trying to get my post count. I just love to be active on forums, and this is the most
active forum I'm on. All I can do is cross my fingers and wish for 100 posts every few days, which ends up happening at one point. I'm just getting sick of people barking at me about how much I care about my post count. 😉

Meh, I have to say I did care about it for a while. I really obsessed over it and worked hard to get it high. After like 4k I think I just stopped caring, and lately I don't care at all. My life takes precedence, however it is nice to drop in and post once in a while 🙂

I'm not even sure what my post count is here. I don't really care.

Glad we could clear that up 😉
