After being let down by a hosting company and having to restart the whole forum from scratch I once spent 29 hours ( with breaks) getting the forum back to how it was.
Yes admins should spend as much time as they can on the forum
BUT most of the time should be spent learning how to improve the forum more.

I have even been in contact with several actors, authors even an astronaut for permission link to their websites.
One forum I once belonged to one admin actually admitted to playing a game on their computer whilst in the middle of a talk they were giving in the forums chatroom.
