I'm currently working on a free service that puts freelancers in touch with clients and allows them to communicate freely with eachother in a unique and social way.

I'm just wondering, how many of you guys do freelance work online? If you do, what type of work do you do the most? And how do you find and manage your clients? What do you think works best for you in attracting new clients?

I do a lot of website design and some PHP work, at the beginning it was really hard for me to find clients online but after a while of doing my thing I built up a decent client base who provide regular work. Which is nice 🙂

I don't really do any freelance work. It's not something I've really considered or tried to get into.

Some of the reason is that I'm not amazingly skilled with like PHP or graphics. (I have enough skill for PHP that I can install mods, do minor PHP edits myself but nothing like create an entire mod from scratch. And graphics-wise, I have enough skill to make my sites look good to me, but they probably are not the most professional and amazing looking sites ever. I'm sure there are a few areas where I need to touch them up or make modifications.)

Writing is likely my strongest capability (probably evident if you've read any of my previous posts around...) but even there that's not really something I've considered a whole lot. Perhaps I could write a few guest articles for sites, but it's not something I've really looked too far into.

If I saw the right job, at the right time, then maybe that is something I would consider doing.

I'd like to say that I do freelance work, but I don't. I could but I have been coding my own site's CMS and user system et cetera. Also, haven't really tried to do it, so I mean..no. :b

I do a lot of freelance work. I basically work for GFX,Promotion, and rarely Webmaster forums. I basically do it so I can extend my experience level and help out communities who need to fill that empty spot.
