I was one of those members. The longest I have ever owned a forum was three months before it got hacked and I lost all my topics and replies, don't forget the users.

Darn you done allot in your years. I remember that I did join some of your forums and I can say that some of them are no longer runningI've been involved with forums since 1999 when I was still in college. One of the first ones I owned was Basketballboards.net in 2002, which was eventually sold to VerticalScope. I've also started and sold about 40-50 others over the last 15 years.
The oldest forum I've got right now is SycamorePride.com, which I started back in 2007.

Unfortunately, when a site is young/small, you really have to do all of the work yourself. There isn't another way. If you're successful in getting that community off the ground, finding people who love the community as much as you do is easier. 🙂Not running one at the moment sadly. Really hard to manage nowadays, and really hard to find reliable mods.
