How to get more users on my forum?

We'll I'd be happy to do a post exchange with you regarding your forum if you liked? We're got a similar niche. Do you have a thread going in the post exchange sections?

I wanted to visit your site a minute ago, but I had to try 3 times before it worked. The site loaded kinda slow after. (Like 2 whole seconds before the first content appears)

I kept getting connection errors, Google Chrome didn't manage to connect to the server and all that ****. If I'm not the only one experiencing this it might actually making you loose some potential members.

If it's Computer Support, your support forum should be at the top, not way down like it is now. Maybe a whole category for Computer Support, with forums general tech support, hardware, software, peripherals, gadgets, whatever. That won't get more users but it will look a lot better and more legit, it just looks thrown together in the first category right now.

Please do read the previous comments before posting, I do not want to repeat myself like a stuck record.

I highly recommend post loop. It's amazing! And the users are legit! :cheer: Except can Simple Press for WordPress be used for it too? I'm not sure... 😳

If I were to run a similar forum these are the stuff I would do!
1. Post lots and lots of articles! Its easy to write how to articles for a computer related niche!
2. Create a dedicated youtube account.
3. Post lots of video tutorials on the basic stuffs, like installing windows xp, installing this, configuring that etc!
4. Make use of your facebook, digg, twitter accounts + create a dedicated account for a few social networking sites.!
5. I guess you're in school, if so, make use of that. Ask your not so close friends to ask their computer related doubts in this forum or its dedicated facebook page/account!
6. If you have money to invest in, buy some twitter followers or facebook likes! This will make your forum look good in the eyes of your school mates!

In the end, you would need a lot of time! So its like do or die scenario!

If your wanting posts on your forum..
You can get them from any of the following 2 ways..
- FP Post Packages: viewforum.php?f=6
- Real £ Post Packages: viewtopic.php?f=116&t=86693

The theme your using is extremely overused and I know not everyone can get a custom theme so maybe you could modify the theme or go for a less used one?

Having hyphens in the domain name is a big no no, users very rarely type them when searching.

The theme is very plain and not at all "techie", save up some FP$ and get some decent graphics done, a new banner and icons would be a good start.

I can do a theme myself, I just can't be bothered, But i suppose I should put some time and effort in.

It's no doubt that domain name impact on us and our sites. The name of the domain should be short and very easy that people can quick remember and use it.You should use best and unique name for your sites. That is the chances for pull the the users towards yourself.....
