How to make forum to catch women?

I have set up a forum but I am looking for a promotion ways. The target audience is women without age restriction - is there any special tricks to attract woman visitor? I guess at least the visuals should be done properly... -redface-

Pictures of men, quite possibly beauty tips, maybe a bit of pink, maybe animals, possibly anime... are you advertising for just general women of all ages or a specific audience of women?

It might be best to also target large female audiences. There are a few ladies only forums i have seen and if you sign up and add a link to you sig and do a bit of posting people will start to see your sig around and might join. If you do the things above it would encourage them to sign up when they do visit.

I'll be honest - don't bother with forum promotion forums (and I say that owning one myself) - the demographic is far too male for it to be worth your while. Sure, you may get 1 or 2 members but most won't be interested as they are men.

Looking at your forum it is VERY niche and hence I don't think you can ever expect it to be very busy as there simply isn't a large enough audience.

My advice to you is to work on SEO and your search engine rankings as that is probably where most of your members will be looking for your forum. That is something a lot of admins/webmasters forget about promotion: advertise where your audience is. You wouldn't promote your burger bar at a weight watchers class would you?

Or you could add some more forums to attract members who wish to chat about other things

its mostly word of mouth like others said make sure the content is there and that your forum is bright and fun, it is a known fact that woman like pastel bright colours, also when you target a certain sex your making things hard on yourself you have to get out there and depending on your site find the common intrest in women between certain ages.....as i always say research is your best buddy before you create a site


i might also add that you dont just target to woman but parenting and child friendly as well.

Try reading some Women magazine and see what women are into and make topics and sections that women would like.

Try to maybe focus on one aspect that women like for your content, and then advertise based off of that main focus.
