How to turn your paid posters into active members.
by Ghost

I just wrote a long article. I just now deleted it. Instead I'll provide it in anti-tl'dr form...

-Instead of paying many people to do a little amount of posts, pay a few people to post a LOT.
-If someone has a high amount of posts on your forum they are more likely to visit again on their own free will. This is because they have posts there already, know other members, and actually got used to/began to like your forum.
-I have 1,600+ posts here at FP. I am already a part of it. I'm much more likely to visit FP instead of another promotion board that I only have 15 posts on. I have become dedicated/loyal to this site due to the amount of time I have spent on here.
-The same as above is true for your site.

You don't even have to pay someone to do a ton of posts straight away. However, going back to the same people to post for you is a good thing. Even if it is only 10-20 at a time, it will build up. Eventually they will be posting freely on your forums without you paying them.

It has worked for me, and this method has actually caused me to stay at other sites who have owners that have paid me to do lots of posts (100+).

So yeah, good luck!

Good points you bring up. I'd also say that if you've gotten packages here in the past, you could very politely request that one of the same packagers do your package in the Additional Details field, they may oblige. It changes from packager to packager though.

But from experience, I'm active at a few that I've done packages for. But most seem to come from exchanges.

You mentioned some ideas that I haven't tried. I will try them too.

Thanks for the great tip! Now lets buy some posters who are actually interested in my website 😀

101% true 😀 I used to do some paid post in adminforums.org at its begining and now I like to visit there everyday.... 😀 this isn't true only in words but also in my real experience...

Really good point. 🙂 If they're posting frequently within the community, chances are, they'll develop a bond with its users and enjoy the atmosphere.

It definitely is true and I highly recommend it.
One thing to think about though is this:
Paying people all the time may just cause them to keep coming back for payment even if they would post for free if you weren't offering FP.
