it works, but you really need to either get this on other sites, or have a lot of visitors, so they put it on their site and so forth.

People will join it through your link and their site will be to and your will be second on it. They will post a link on their site and some people will sign up through their link and it will then be third and those people add the links to their forums and people sign up and so on.

It really depends how many people sign up from your link as if only a few people sign up from your referrer link it is really pointless.
