These guys said it already. More than anything, you have to prove that you could actually make money on the adsense than anything else. The ads aren't really placed in what is considered an "optimal" position, either.

Well, yeah. Footer links aren't really that much attractive, as not everyone goes down there on a regular basis. That's why it's best to have one below your guest message (banner) and after the first post (leaderboard), since everyone there will be able to see the ads.

We have one after the first post already. I'm thinking have one in the guest message before the welcome messages, then when you sign up it diverts to the footer 😛

Also any new webmaster could do this who buys a site so it doesn't really affect the value.

To a certain extent, I'd disagree with that statement. The reason being is that they want to see that you can make revenue and your members are fine with it.

It's kind of like selling a house. You don't want to move out all your furniture because potential buyers want to know what they can do with a house, yet they want to see something nice and clean.
