No he is not. Maybe 20 million tops. Okay he has done well for Newcastle so far but that means nothing.

£35m for Andy Carroll is a bad deal for Liverpool. Seeing as Barcelona got David Villa, world-cup winner and one of the most profilic scorers in Liga BBVA, for only £32m.

If Carroll had scored 25+ goals a season, then fair enough, but no-way Andy Carroll is worth £35m when his goalscoring record isn't top notch.

I do think he's a very good player though, but he needs a decent partner up-front with him and I don't think any Liverpool attacker can offer that, expect from latest signing, Luis Suarez.

I would like to see Liverpool play this:

----Gerrard----

----Suarez----Carroll----

If they play that they will certainly improve their current league postion and be in contention of a top four spot again.

No way. Even £20,000,000 would have been crazy.

Agreed, and that would be a good attacking 3 too. Plenty of 'bite" 😉

Someone who has had one good season in the championship is not worth £35M, especially when the are out injured and could be out for the rest of the season.

A very bad deal for Liverpool IMHO.

No player in the world is worth that ridiculous amount of money.

I love football, but the money spent on players is just mad.

I'd say he is worth £8m tops. For me he's had one lucky season where he got lucky goals. Give it two years and he will be sold for £5m back to Newcastle.

No player is worth that much, transfer fees have got way out of hand.
