Is finance necessary for forum growth?

Do you think that you money is one factor that can make a forum grow. I personally feel it is necessary because you might need to advertise massively and pay for articles/posts for your forum to grow.

Well, if you have money you can certainly grow your forum but you might not get the returns in terms of cash value

you’ll need to have some level of finance there to be able to keep your site running. In terms of growth if you want to add new features or softwares these usually cost money so I’d say you need to have a little bit of finance there.

No, I will work for ways to finance my forum, if my forum isn't funding itself. Right now I fund the forum out of my pocket for our ongoing promotions.
