At my last forum, I had the most posts by around 1,000. I had 2,500 posts, note some of them were from teh shoutbox and tech stuff.
Does it look bad to have the majority of the posts?

I don't think so as people always expect the admin(s) to have the most posts.

I currently have the most posts on my aspiemania forum. Dare to change that statistic. -lol- ~lol~

I have the most posts on my forum as well. I feel it's my responsibility to keep the forum active through starting new topics and replying to members' posts. I want to make sure every new member is greeted as well.

I have posted about 21% of my forum. Which i think is quite a good amount.

It used to be about 50% a while ago but i slowed down and only replied to topics that i really needed too.

Now I'm happy with that percentage.

I still have the most posts on my forum... but some of my members are quickly catching up! lol!

I think it's expected that the admin will have the most posts. I doubt members will bother about it.

if your the admin you need to have the most posts. people expect that from you. if you don't the think that you don't care and theat there isn't much participation.

Its good the admin has the most posts. It means they are active in their own community and making sure their visit is always goign to be a good one. You know, you could start a competition heh (First person to catch up to me win Support Team status) haha

I have the most posts by a long shot...20,000  the next one down is 10,000 but i think its expected for the admin/owner to have the most posts.

Depends on forum content. We have a 'fun & games' section which I rarely post in so several members have significantly higher posts than me. But at least I am not the lowest :?

hmmm, other forum I ahd almost 30 per cent but since we moved its become a lot more active and now about 20 per cent

top poster so far alternates between myself and another admin,
i dont think it looks bad, at times I think its expected

Not really, admins tend to have more posts as they are keeping members updated ect ect... so really it isn't as bad as it sounds.
