Is the tablet more popular than the laptop?

Yes. Times have changed to where tablets have became more popular(mainly due to there portability) There are some parts of a tablet that are beaten by a Laptop or PC. Gaming is one aspect as the system has a faster processor etc.
 
Tablets are mostly used by children but are used by adults and companies. Laptops are more reasonable for College/University, Business, Reports, Programming and maybe some PC gaming.
 
Pretty sure laptops are still being used more because they're more reliable and can contain larger amounts of data.
