I just updated my forum and I got smilies from Kolobok and downloaded a whole bunch and now I have uploaded them to my forum.

Combining them with the default (since they all match very well) I have about 145 smilies that I am using. Lol

Is that too many?

It depends, with some many smilies it is very likely many will geed overlooked, but I think the amount you have is fine.

At first I thought you meant the question regarding posts, so i was ready to say that indeed more smilies than text would probably be unwise and taken as spam, haha.

Nope. The more the better, I say! you can express yourself in many ways. ๐Ÿ˜›

Yes, definitely. That would have been spam. XD I post a lot of smilies but not... THAT much... ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜› LOL

As long as it doesn't completely clutter the emot box then I see no harm if they are based in "Show All"

Well as Mikaya said, the more there are; the wider the variety of emotions you can display through the set of smilies at your disposal. ๐Ÿ™‚

In other words, the amount of smilies you have is not excessive. ๐Ÿ˜‰

People tend to enjoy having a good amount of smilies available. Like it was stated here, people like having a way to express themselves maybe a bit different the others.

I personally dislike it when there are many different styles of smilies on a forum, i would much rather one giant 'set' than lots of different sets.

Like the The Reverend, if it's a giant set of smilies that all match I don't mind how many there are. But if there's a huge mess of mismatched, large, and animated smilies then it doesn't look too good.
