Are you attempting to rank your community for just Google or do you try to also help it on Bing and other search engines as well?

Why or why not?

Only really bothering with Google for now, my site doesnt even appear in Bing when you search it's name, but links to it from other sites do...

It would be ideal you try it on other search engine too, so you can get to reach out to more people as Google us still number but people are also carrying out searches on the other search engines too.

I have never though about ranking on other search engines until my forum started receiving traffic from Baidu, the Chinese search engine.

I agree with this.

I rank for Google, because obviously they're king. But Bing is Microsoft, so when Microsoft gets into an industry, they change the status quo and dominate that sector.

Microsoft tested voice search with Xbox 360, into Xbox One, where people started to complain about the voice technology and the camera technology.

Obviously, you know why people hated Kinect [camera technology for 3D/motion movements, and if you don't - ask and I'll explain].

Anyway, with voice, they can pull the search engine [bing in this case], and give you results and speak to you on that result.

Microsoft removed it because of the backlash towards camera.

So that being said, I agree with someone else, in that the next search engine is going to push this technology - Alexa, Ring, and another voice device i am probably forgetting - those are examples now. Cortana is somewhere beneath Windows 10/11. Microsoft removed it somehow, i dunno, but the technology is still there. Microsoft is just hiding it because of the same issue as the camera controversy.
