Since I started this thread the channel that received the click has had 4 more which only made £1.03, so around 20p a click

I know some genre of ads pay better than others. Seems graphics site ads do not pay that well.

How do you make it that you get more per click?

I read on Internet marketing blogs which say certain keywords pay more per click like "bankruptcy protection, student loans, culinary school, forex, and keywords related to education and finance gets higher payout on average compared to lower paying keywords like "milk, vegetables, toys, etc."

You have to write more articles about a high paying category related to your forum like "Tips for finding a good IT school" and promote your website more to people who are interested in your ads.

Youtube can be a great place to find targeted traffic if you make a few videos related to your website category.

The Youtube adsense partners pay pretty well also, but it is very hard to get into. I know of YT partners who say thek made 2000 dollars in two months.
