Do you have any specific rules/guidlines for accepting people on MSN?

I do. If they can't meet the rules, they're gone.

  • "Y", "U", "R". etc are not words. "Why", "You", and "Are" are words.

May be stupid to have these rules, but I'm fed up with people not using what they were taught in school. Yes, this may be the internet, but that doesn't mean you can forget everything you learned.
  • "Long story" usually means I do not want to discuss it, and that's usually the same thing for everyone.
  • If I have an "away" message, do not IM me, as that means I'm not here. If I'm "busy", that means leave me alone.

People don't seem to understand this. >_<

I understand. Only time I don't mind the grammar one is when we are both knowingly joking. 😛

Same here. If it's friends, and we both know it's joking, it's fine.

So if I were to add you now (seeing as your addy is on your profile), you'd not accept?

yes as long as the request isn't having your proper info about how you find my id, 😛 i may accept yours but not of the ones whose posts are spammy sort of

I usually only add people I work with or I have known for a while to any of my many messengers.

If someone gets on MSN and starts talking about their site, I just ignore them. That's my only rule.

I hate how people use

"hey wat u doin now? r u doin dat? y r u doin dat?"

or whatever but sadly, some of my friends talk like that.

1) I don't mind a little bit of text speak like that, though excess text speak is annoying.
2) What's the point of being on MSN if you're busy... never understood that

I have quite a specific approval process, If I don't know them, I don't add them. Simples :great:

I can't stand people who talk leik dis al of teh time.

I block people who have emotions for every word in the alphabet, i also can't stand people who are like this, sooooooo, what are you doing now?, what's that mean?, what are you doing now? Wana join my site?

those kinda people people are quite annoying and sometimes i just report them as spammers from my YIM

I hate te sl4ng nd l33t t47k

Yes, those are normally what I expect of others on MSN.

How about 'brb'? ('I'm not actually going anywhere, I just don't want to talk to you.')

Except for the occasional time when brb actually equals 'be right back'. xD

Here's another one;

"Wuu2"

Good crap, are people that lazy to type out "What are you up to?" Ia anyone says "Wuu2" to me, I will usually ignore and block them, unless they are friends and I know they're only kidding.

lmfao! I've actually done that on COUNTLESS occasions!

I'll accept almost anybody onto my list. Chat speak annoys me, unless it's used in jokes (me and my friends use it all the time when we're joking.) If someone annoys me I'll just ignore them or set my status to away. I only block people when they're seriously annoying me.
