This is vaguely forum-related, as I've discussed this topic many times on my own forum and briefly here. @meetdilip asked if I could post it here. Hopefully I won't incur the wrath of the mods in doing so.

I play a game called Out of the Park and have created a six-team fictional league which I have based in an equally fictional country named Lyonesse. Here are their names, with the color schemes I'd devised for each:
  • Melrose Browns (brown and orange)
  • Miramar Neptunes (light blue and dark blue, white or yellow accents)
  • Tangines Tigers (orange and black)
  • Rubycon Petrels (black and white, yellow or gold accents)
  • Eastgate Pirates (red and black)
  • Phaedra Aeros (green and yellow)
There would be four logos for each. There's the primary logo, an emblem for the cap, and two wordmarks - one with the city and one with the team name - to be displayed across the front of the jersey. I've linked some examples of each.

A few notes, here. I've already done the Browns, as they are based directly off a defunct team from the 1950s. So the cap and wordmarks are fine. (The cap emblem is a brown and orange fleur-de-lis.) The main logo, though, needs some serious help:

Good Lord, that is terrifying. No wonder they folded.

I'm also thinking about changing the name of the Neptunes. I may go instead with a different "aquatic" name, or go with the Miramar Bluebirds. The color scheme would change if necessary there...the bluebirds are shades of blue, but they also have a sort of rust-colored spot on them, so that might become the highlight color instead.

If you have any ideas for a different color scheme for pretty much any of the teams, especially the Aeros or Pirates, have at it. The only ones that might stay as-is are the Petrels and Browns.

There's no due date on this. I'm very flexible with ideas.

Okay, I like that last one.

The thing with the Browns is that I need to come up with what a "Brown" is. The idea they originally had was a "brownie", which is a kind of elf. (The Cleveland Browns in football have an elf mascot, too, but rarely use him.) The problem is, that elf up there is just kinda scary. Maybe an elf catching a baseball?

There are other brown things as well, like dogs or horses, but I'm not certain I would want those...

Other folks can chime in here, too!

I am not good with mascots. Logos are what I do mostly. However, I will try to come up with mascot ideas if I can. 🙂

Here's a tiny bit more cleaned up version of the first one
