My Facebook Group is coming alive!

A year ago a friend gave me his Facebook Group because he changed from one Christian denomination to another and the group was no longer relevant to him. It was a group for him to post about the Lutheran beliefs and there was to be no debate in it. But I could never get anyone to really post when I tried. Sooo when the guy messaged me asking if I was giving up on the group, I told him I was changing the name, allowing debate and making it public.

That was a week ago or so and guess what? It worked! I'm getting daily activity which is astounding! People are discussing theology and for now, they're being nice to each other. I hope this continues!

The purpose of this thread is to hang in there and make changes when necessary.

No, it's not that huge yet!! Someone joined today just to take part in the discussions, so that was nice. I hope to keep it active.

That's great to hear Kat! I have a group for a Youtuber that grew pretty quickly. These days I don't really check up on it much, but I know there's still some activity. The youtuber is also in the group too. He reached out to my wife once since there was some drama going on in the group and I was at work so I couldn't do anything. He thought she did a great job handling things and gave her his number, something he doesn't do with everyone. Only a few people probably have his cell number. I hope things won't get too out of hand with debates. You know how debates can get, especially when it comes to topics like religion.

When it comes to people saying mean things in a debate on a Christian site, I just ask them if they'd say it to Jesus and sometimes that shuts them up.

I probably could...but I need to gain their trust first LOL There are over 600 members, but I think most signed up because they confused the group with another one. I probably have 15 active people on there for now, but some posts have reached over 30.

I made it public too, so that might help in gaining a new crowd as well to the group...and then encourage them to visit CH.
