My site is hit by Google Page Insights bot

My site is getting hit by Google Page Insights bot and this makes my cpu resources go high. How to stop it, anyone?

I got the Google Page Insights ip from server log and i have banned it as of now. Let me see what happens 🙂

Google Page Insights Bots are not that different from regular traffic. If your server can't handle that minimal level of traffic then you need an upgrade. Just a side note unused CPU is wasted CPU in my opinion.

If you ban the Google Bots, you're never going to get onto Google or anything else, really. Google Bots, like nathanielrsichy mentioned, is just like normal traffic. If your server cannot handle bots, (instead of real people that takes up more CPU honestly) then you should really upgrade your server.
