Hello everybody!

I own a Homefront forum, but some one has duplicated the name just with an s, now he has taken my position so I'm going down on the google list, any ideas on how I can really Improve my SEO?

The forum runs GoogleSEO, I have sitemap, meta tags and a meta descritpion.

Anything else?

Whats your domain and what is his domain?

I do not really think that there is anything you can do. When you have a really good idea, you should always buy all the corresponding domains before releasing the name so others do not steal the idea.

My domain is Homefrontforum.net
his is homefrontforums.net

People copy forums all the time, but at the end of the day there's really not a whole lot you can do about it. Copies never last as long as the real thing, and 9 times out of 10, people copy out of jealousy. They see someone like you with a successful forum, then they try to imitate your successes. It's not worth getting upset over. Just keep going on with your site as planned and just do as you originally planned to do. Don't stoop to this guys' level and don't let his imitation board get you down.

You can only really post more on your forum, and on other sites, optimize your link to what ever keyword you are aiming at.

Get that and sue him. LOL!
Because OP owns the Homefront IP and is the only one who can make a forum with it.

Unless you want to result to bh methods to bring his rank down just gotta keep working on pushing up in the results.

It depends.. who's content is better? Who has more text-based pages like homepages?

Check his backlinks to see how he's rising up so fast, and see what you can do to imitate that for your own SEO. The SEO is actually a separate issue from his imitating you. I've had this problem with ripoff people more than once. Currently have someone trying to copy the methods and features of my board, with limited success. An imitator can mimic the output of your forum, but in the end, if imitation is all they have to offer, they will go nowhere, because from the atmosphere of their forum's setup and how it is run, it will seep into your mind from the minute you step in there: the place has no soul. It is empty. Something vital is missing.

Hello, thanks for all the suggestions, keep em coming 🙂

I think all the suggestions that people have said make sense, after all he's copied your name and site for a reason. He sees your success.

One thing i would consider is setting up a google ad words campaign so that anyone searching for your forum or his sees yours as a an ad at the to of the page, probably wont cost much to do it for a few weeks.

Your best bet is to follow the links above, but keep adding good content!

If your articles are well written and are keyworded properly, then they will rise above his in Google, Bing etc.

I had the same problem when I was running a blog. Somebody ripped my whole blog (SQL too) and ran it form under a different domain. I secured the SQL and blogged like a boss, until my posts came up high and he failed after 6 months.

Just wait it out, he'll probably get bored eventually. Oh, and he's running nulled vB.

What I find funny is people calling this guy out for "ripping off" Johnny's site.
Homefront is a video game, you can't get a much more generic name for the forum than homefrontforum or homefrontforums. Chances are its another gamer who may have not even seen the forum, just when registering a domain saw that homefrontforum was already taken.

What Gimgak said, I just wanna be first. But seems promising allready, already 2nd again, so just a final touch and I'll be first.

Yeah and looking at his forum yours is a lot more active so I wouldn't worry that much about it. Looking up "homefront forum" in google yours shows up before his, however homefrontforums.com is still first however it's a basically dead board.
