need some advise on a new skin

second time I make a whole skin all by myself
I'm planning to make it so that every single image is made by me...
I'm not done yet, but the basic concept is obvious..

What do u think?

I like the nav bar and the background, it reminds me of a vB style.

I personally think the banner space should be trimmed a little, also the footer should be trimmed too.

because I read this article on dark themes... and it said that u had to make some good use out of blank space...
its a real good article if any1's got a dark skin

but then there would be too much blankness...
er.. any ideas to what else I could put up there (besides the banner)...
