Yeah, I got bored again, which we all know causes rips in space and time. This time wasn't as bad actually, I just went and downloaded the oldest working version of Netscape for Windows. I'm pretty sure it was designed for something other than XP cause it crashes when trying to load Google >___>

Other than that, I like it. I might use it rather than firefox when testing sites.

It's very pointless, as the copy I downloaded was never intended to run on even the XP OS. This was a joke which clearly no one understood -lol-

I actually did download it, just to see, and it does crash. I found it through a link on Digg and since I had just started a download had nothing better to do. It's fun playing with browsers from the time before CSS -razz-

We aren't all geeks.

I never stated that you must be a geek to understand the joke, rather you simply need eyes and a brain. Since a quick glance at the download page results in you seeing the 4.x series was the oldest, you should have understanded right then that I wasn't seriuously interested in using Netscape full time or as a testing browser. Alot like using FireFox 2, old and out dated.

On a side note, what is a 'geek'? By my understanding it is a human with a greater understanding of technology than the general public. If you are applying the same as I am, them thank you for your comment. I much rather be a geek with a future in the technology field than some low life loser with no future anywhere but in the streets.

You don't have to state something for it to be true.

I agree with that on many, many levels, but not this one. Anyone can understand the joke if you actually pay attention to what I said instead of using your max brain power to fuel one line replies.

The joke is not complex by any means, and I find it sad that you cannot understand the simple humor behind it. Even if alot of people don't think it's funny, they will at very least understand what I was going for after clicking the link (which I am unsure if you even did) and looking.

You also did not answer my question about the word 'geek'. I need to know what you are applying to the word to know whether to be grateful or offended. I rarely hear the word 'geek' used in a degrading fashion these days in America, the degrading words have moved past it. Using that to back my thinking I can only take what you said as a positive thing.

Allow me to ask you, if you are not a geek, do you plan to pursue a technology based career?

Well if you being a geek means you are successful in life it doesn't matter... I do want to work in computers 😉

My point is simple, if the term 'geek' means someone who is great with technology, then I would hope you would be a a 'geek' if you plan to work in the computer field, otherwise you won't be a top performer in your company.

Back on topic...
Eh...wonder if I could get this working with U3? -lol-

Ghost are you going to be some kind of diplomat in the future? You are always right, no matter what it is -lol- Good old Netscape days, man I miss them with such basic websites. Oh the web has come a long way!

I have no future in any of that, I waste my talents too much. I don't do schoolwork, for example. I have no college plans, no planned future at all really. I go with the flow, which is often controlled by the wind, so indirectly I go with the breeze? -n-

I agree about the web coming a looooooo[o]ooong way. Makes you wonder what the web will change into in the {semi}near future...

I suspec tthats what I did to an extent, I came out of 6th form (college) with alright grades, went to join the British Army, pulled out and now work in SEO lol. That 'breeze' can bring wonderful things -🙂-

Yeah totally. I can't wait to see how it will evolve in some way.

I suspect the web will grow more integrated with our lives. Since there are more and more cheaper smart phones out there with Internet, and more gadgets in general that can connect. I also see a Open-Source web, one without copyrights. Music should be free, and the web will allow it to be.

That's just my prediction though -🙂-

That is a damn good prediction as well, considering how music is becoming more and more popular through torrents and P2P alike, while the iPhone, Blackberry and other gadgets & phones are becoming more 'web integrated' as you stated, its only a matter of time 🙂
