We're changing the way we use the Directory.
To promote your project, you'll create a new listing item under the Directory. When you create a new item listing, our team will review it to ensure it abides by our rules and keeps members and guests safe. Once approved, your item will be shown in our Directory, accompanied by a thread automatically created in the Promotion Directory sub-forums. The thread will be linked to your item, allowing you to communicate and discuss your services, updates, community events, and more in one place. The thread will be accessible through the item listing itself. It will be shown as a tab labelled Discussions. - Upon clicking, you will be automatically brought to the thread created for you. We encourage you to be active in this thread to show viewers you are engaged and open to discussing your item.You can use listing updates to share important news, releases, changes, etc., going on with your item. When you post your first update, a new tab will appear under the item listing, similar to the Discussions tab, but this will contain all your updates. Also, when you add a new update, your discussion thread will include a link to that specific update.
Remember that the more updates you post, the more likely it will be discovered. If your item falls inactive, it can still be found but would only be visible if the viewer was looking through the community, searching directly, or it's randomly displayed. Several sections around the community will display a random dozen or more listings per session, meaning the chances of your listing being discovered are lower. However, we have some other sections that will show the most recent item updates; if you continuously update your item listing, your chances of being discovered are far greater as your item update will always be near the top, which links to your item listing.
