Forum Promotion Update
New Non-Staff Group created called the "Blog Interest Group", to be filled by anyone who wants to write for our blog.

We are happy to announce that we have a new group on Forum Promotion! The new group that has been made, is called The Blog Interest Group.

This group is made up of anyone that wants to submit articles to our Blog, on various matters of being a webmaster (forum software updates, news regarding the webmaster world, tutorials, SEO, interviews of admins of popular forums or websites, or anything else that relates to being a webmaster). This group will not be considered staff, but will be considered as an important group to help maintain the blog, by providing articles to help people out with things that are important.

Anyone can join the group, but each member that joins are expected to follow certain rules and guidelines, to help maintain a certain level of activity that we expect of them. Though you don't have to join up in the group to submit articles to the blog, but it is recommended if you want to participate in a group setting to help get ideas on creating your next article.

Each member that joins the group, will be given access to the blog, and it's draft page that allows you to make modifications, and where you can have a history of all articles you made and published, and to have the ability to keep articles in draft mode, till you are ready to publish them.

If you do not join the group, but still want to submit articles, we will still accept any articles posted in the Article Submissions Board, where each new article posted in that board, will be put under moderation queue, where I will then put the article on the blog, and make the needed changes to make it publishable on the blog, provided there aren't too many changes needed to the article.

The only staff member that is set to run the group is myself (Joshua Farrell), and I will be the guide for members on what is allowed, and what is not allowed. I will also be there to double check all new articles to the blog, to see if they need to be reworked, and if they fall under our modest guidelines for the group.

If you want to join the group, go to your groups listing in the User Control Panel, and make a request to the group named "Blog Interest Group". I will then be notified that you have requested to be a part of the group. After you do that, you need to fill out the following form, so that I know what areas of interest you have, and PM me the completed form. All sensitive information provided will NOT be shared with anyone else.

The Forum Promotion Administration and Staff

I was an original member of the Pink team in charge of content with the blog. I think it was clear, because it was shut down, the reward of being in the team didn't match the amount of work that goes into writing good articles constantly. I think we were being paid FP$, not sure but it seems here there is no reward? The biggest issue for me was writing great articles only to have them be read by very few people.

There is a reward. The topic that I originally made announcing the reward, is now currently in the board that one submits articles to, and also is in the Forum and Blog Marketplace board also. (Under John as the topic starter)
viewtopic.php?f=269&t=130398
viewtopic.php?f=116&t=124364
In the Forum Cash board, there is a topic that references the above topics, with the reward specifically listed in that thread.
viewtopic.php?f=84&t=125097

Don't know how hard that is to see, if one uses the forum cash board, and the Marketplace regularly (unless one purposely ignores all stickies with a vengeance).

To mention what the reward is, without reading through the above threads, the reward for submission of articles, based on how informative it is, and if there were any grammatical errors, one can get from 300 to 500 FP for every article written.

People! Join!

It's very fun to blog. 😀

Best of luck with this initiative but I don't expect much to come out of it seeing the pink team hasn't worked each time in the past.

I feel the same way.

Not trying to harsh on this at all, it just seems like FP revolves around the forum. The blog doesn't seem to get much attention even though there may be some quality articles posted there sometimes.

Best of luck though

BTW, it isn't a staff group, just a group made for anyone who wants to write articles for the blog.

Also, if people cared to actually cared enough to comment, then honestly things would be a little different in regards to it's activity. Thus why the group has been made for those who don't care about being labeled as stuff, but who actually cares about a portion of the website. 🙂 Just like how if enough people cared about a certain board on this forum, that forum will end up being active.

And thanks for the luck!

It's a really good team to be on if you like writing articles! 🙂

I'm not very good write articles for the blog. I'm out. And I don't see how thins will turn out at all. I rather see articles that will help to bring other websites in so that they get more traffic.

Most of my traffic comes from FP....
