Hi all,

First of all this topic is a part of my curiosity about your opinion of France  , french people, or french food, wine, or anything that can be bought, eaten, etc ...

I'm french so ... feel free to let your comment, i will tell you back what 'im thinking of this about each of your comments 😉

I heard they eat babies and they sent Godzilla to attack Japan.

😀

The french baguettes are good though. You can make some good cheese bread with them.

I dont like the language - i have learnt it at school for 4 years with a bad teacher and all i know how to say is i am a egg and chips

Need I say more?

Hairy women, nice baguettes and they always need a wee wee.
That's france in a nutshell.

I LOVE FRANCE!!!!! (bare with me this could go on a while)

French food = Delightful, the finest cuisine you can imagine with the worlds best chefs, although I do have my reservations on Foix Gras and frogs legs and snails. The desserts are to die for especially macarons and the frambrois et rose. I love crepes too, both sweet and savoury, the Grand Marnier and chocolate one is so yummy!
French wine = Champagne, Champagne and more Champagne, I have to bring at least 3 bottles back with me! I also love a good Rose. The price of wine over there is just outstanding, there are many great wines, the French appreciate a good wine.
French people = now I know that everyone thinks that the French are rude but from my experience, so long as you understand French etiquette and at least try to say hello and goodbye, please and thank you in French you are always on the right foot with them. More often than not a French person will answer you in English which is more than a French person would get coming to England I can tell you. Another little tip...don't walk down the street grinning at a Frenchman, he will think you just escaped the lunatic asylum
France = Beautiful architecture, amazingly talented artists, great history, great food, passionate about politics, chic women, sexy voiced men...........I could carry this on all night! 🙂

Thought about gastronomy at first 🙂

Yes we like eating, and make food. Known : Bread with baguette / Foix gras (for christmas !) / Frogs, we are not a lot to eat them, with snails.

Cheese too, i love chesse, and eat at lunch and diner, with baguette this is marvellous 🙂

I've heard recently that Roquefort became famous in USA, more people eat roquefort. And of course, thats an excelent cheese, smells good (or bad depends 😀) but theres others chesses who smells a lot more and ... :X bad !

We got a little island the "Corse" (in french) and a little president 😀 for a little country.

What i'm cooking sometimes ...

Zucchini fritters with some salad (Mâche) and cocktail tomatoes.

From what I have heard, the French are very nice people.

Parisians however are snooty, annoying and stupid.

It's like everywhere.
Good people, or less but in Paris theres some kind of permanent stress. So it's hard to find relax people 😀

It's funny, but it's true to say that making relations in France, begins with food and a dinner at someone's house. We like cooking for a guest, and it's a good moment to share.

You're sitting in the wrong spot.....Try the Champ D'Mars on the grass underneath the Eiffel Tower of an evening.....everyone is sooooo chilled 🙂

I like French food a lot.... those napoleon things they sell at the bakerys are SCRUMPTIOUS! lol. I know they have a different name in France but yeah. I went to visit Normandy in France once and the people were really nice... it was a fun experience. I might visit paris some time too.

Yes, where tourist goes 🙂 for sure

Irviding you really should, there's just sooooo much to see and do....We're planning on renting an apartment for a month next year just to get a feel of how it is to live there, that's the plan for later in life, emigrating to Paris 😉

As far as Europe goes, I'd much prefer Germany or the UK. French culture isn't for me - snails and snotty men wearing black and white striped jumpers [/cliché stereotype]

But seriously I don't like the culture that much. Or the language actually, which I was learning for 4-5 years I've finally dropped.

@MissTake : Remember me when this happens 😉 should be a nice time to meet you.

@Jonathan : yes theres a lot of difference between countries. Europe isnt so big, but lot of different people, language, culture ...

Did you mean French Military Defeats?

They get into everything that fails. Lol.

Why do you think the french flag is solid white?

D3pt5a2SpFk&t=1&usg=__zuI6pTB_aOGFLfPeiNX1IAfAMow=.webp

At least I think it's white. It's what I always see flying over them whenever they get into a war.

I heard there are a lot of topless women and nude beaches in France, and their food can have a lot of butter in them. The French also enjoy drinking wine and eating cheese.

About war ... well we got 2 wars in France, that changes a lot our point of view.

We got occupied by germany and by the way my grand father house when he was a child has been burn by nazis when they will get defeated in 45 so ... we don't want this anymore.

Making war on a foreign country is easy, but when it's at home ... it's not the same.
