What is your opinion on forums where most of the threads/posts have been paid for? I'm not talking about a get paid to post site that is there for the goal of members getting paid.

I'm not against it but the quality has to be there. So many forums, you can tell the thought process didn't go into it. If an Admin wants to pay for posts, that is on them. However they should do it to get conversations & discussions going, not just as fillers.

What about a site that's 99% paid for?

If 99% was paid content, I'd be concerned about whether I'd get responses to my own posts because what are the chances anyone who was paid to make the original posts will return to reply to you without being paid? It's not a genuine discussion at that point to me and I wouldn't waste my time with it.

That's my concern as well. Getting paid also doesn't mean there is a legitimate answer to a real question asked because you don't know if the answer is honest or copied from another website.

My thoughts exactly. As long as the posts are of decent quality, make sense etc, by no means am I against people paying for posts. As long as replies to ongoing topics make sense and as long as new posts make sense, it doesn't bother me much at all.

Not against it whatsoever. Everyone has their own way for growing their forums. Eventually it will be organic but everyone has to start somewhere.

I'm not talking about occasionally using paid posting to grow your forum. I mean, practically totally using paid posting to make it look as if you have a thriving forum.

I see both ends in my mind, It helps both ends, meaning the person gets paid real cash for posting and the forum gets content and traffic for new content.
