Paid Antivirus Vs Free?

Paid always. Right now I'm using Webroot.

It isn't just because of the features, it is because the free ones don't block as much of the viruses as the paid ones. With paid software there is less of a chance of someone needing to use Spybot or Malwarebytes on top of their existing anti-virus. Also, Webroot is one of the few that doesn't use up tons of RAM while sitting in the background, not scanning or doing anything.

Free is always going to look better but some free software are viruses themselves and others (AVG) just don't protect from as much and don't cover up loopholes very well.

In my opinion, if you use free, you might as well use Windows Defender which is basically having nothing on your computer. You will get viruses/trojans and they will mess up your computer.

I use a paid software as there are more features that I am interested in. RT protection is a plus as well.
