Paid to Post Forums, What's your Opinion?

What's your opinion and views on paid to post forums?

Do you know of any really good ones?

I honestly don't know of any really good ones, I would be very interested as well. I think it's a great niche but depends who is running it.

Some negative things are people will most likely just post to get paid and never come back. OR just post whenever they need some extra cash. Then they might realize there time > the minimum amount of cash they're getting lol.

Some Positive things I could say, is it would boost the forums community pretty quick to get that "active" community going and the forum would start out with a good foundation, but I am not sure about the longevity of this.

I like the concept, but I've never seen them last. The pay to post ratio has to be small to cover costs and many people won't spend a lot of time for a tiny payout.

This is exactly my thought. I've joined a few of them over the years, and they've never really lasted. People work pretty hard for their posts, and for such a small payout it's SO not worth it 😉

Paid to post forums start with a bang but don't last much months.I haven't seen any that lasted much.There used to be 2-3 forums I saw here but all of them are dead.Just like master412160 said genchat is one of the big examples that ended.

I think it's a good idea, but it never really works out. People are selfish, they start doing it, but never stick around.

The only reason genchat failed is because the main admin just disappeared. I was the other admin and had no server access to keep it up..so I couldnt do anything. iForum just vanished.

Thanks everyone for your replies. It seems that there are not too many successful ones. I paid for posts many years ago on HostBidder.com and it's a niche that I may consider again in the future.

Well that could be worth it. The hosting niche can be well worth paying for posts in due to how profitable that niche is.

Paid for post forums as a service are a great idea in theory but not many people are smart enough about their planning to actually have it last out.

I don't know of any, but I wouldn't bother using them probably because:

1. The admins are want a way to get a ton of posts, so users may just post for the benefit of making money off of it, probably not all of them but I'm assuming there are some, which I don't blame because all you need to do is sit at your computer.

2. I don't really need money from posting on forums 😛

Although it would be nice to make like 200 posts and get a bit of cash 😛 I'd say they are no different than any other forum, just that you get a little treat for posting like any other forum would, just one a little different.
