This forum was inspired by Forum Promotion.

I've put a link back to Forum Promotion in the footer on Promotion Box.

Promotion Box is less than a day old. It is a place, like FP, where you can promote your forum or website for free. Why not come along and be the first ever person to advertise with us.

We will purchase a .com domain shortly. We are just waiting to see if anyone is interested in starting up a new web promoting site. At the moment I am using a subdomain of my other website.

Because FP is allowing us to place this advert on their site we would ask that if you advertise with us that you please also advertise with FP. It's our way of saying thank you to them for being the kind promotion service they are. 😀

2. Your forum offers nothing unique. It has basically everything Forum Promotion has.

No offence but you've copied another's forums name, and 80% of your forum is FP's layout. I know you said your forum was inspired by FP but copying them wont get you any where.
 
Ok. Sorry guys. I'm a bit of an amateur. Please offer me any suggestions you have...I'm determined to make this succeed! I appreciate all and everyones feedback and suggestions.

Plus, I see also that there's another promotion box. I've therefore changed the name to PB Advertising. I'll fix up a new logo tomorrow.

As for the forum layout if any of you guys have any suggestions I'm listening. After all I'm a beginner...don't laugh at me...help me. It's the only way I'll learn.

Well you've kind of changed the name, Thats good. Maybe mix up the areas or even call them different names.

I would also suggest getting a better domain name even if its a free one..
 
Yes. I've registered a free domain name called www.pbadvertising.co.cc - it's currently pending activation which takes up to 48 hours apparently.

I'll purchase a ".com" domain if I get enough people interested in my site.

At the moment I've got a lot of improving to do. 😉

It's the dns change that takes up to 48 hours.
 
I don't see a MyBB copyright at the bottom so that is kind of a douche move.

Yes. I've changed the name to PB Advertising.

Sorry for the copy...I'm currently working on a new logo that'll read "PB Advertising" instead of Promotion Box.

I'm struggling to get the hang of Photoshop atm but I'm getting better. The PDF tutorials I'm reading are very helpful.

I should have the logo online soon...I have to make it first. 😉

By the way guys, the new domain is working as a redirect at the moment...I can't make it proper domain for another 48 hours as Justhost have sent me an e-mail saying that the DNS servers are taking longer than usual to update. Until they've updated I can only use as a redirect. I'll keep you posted though. 😉

Oh! And guys! Once I've fixed all my terrible mistakes will you please support me and promote, etc. - I mean once I've managed to get it up to scratch.

You need to wake up !

1.You copied FP and want FP to link back.It does not work like that.
You can support FP by placing a link on your forum but you won't get a linkback.

2.You need to be unique and not copy things.You should be ashamed about what you have done.

3.FP staff spend hours working on FP to make it a great place to promote at and you just go and copy everything.

SHAME ON YOU
 
Ok guys! I've changed the forum layout altogether.

It is no longer a complete copy of Forum Promotion.

It is still a promotion forum...but the forums are now a little different.

Keep the suggestions coming though. 😉

Logo is on the way too...am designing it now. 😀
