I have seen many users who create separate sites for their business and personal blog, on the other hand some make only one combo site.
I am going to make one too but not able to decide which way will be a better one. 2 separate sites look more professional but are difficult to update regularly, were as a single site is easy to update but difficult to make a strong setup for not making it a puzzle for visitors.
What you think about this? should i make 2 separate sites or a combo? Is their any other way of doing this?
For blogs, if the host has the capability of allowing you to set up the Wordpress Multi-User Network, I would do that. Basically, the WPMU is one wordpress installation, that allows you to run multiple blogs off of it. In which you then can use the same plugins and themes across each blog that is created.
There are two ways you can set it up, depending on the host. One way allows you to create blogs as sub-domains, and the other way allows you to create blogs as sub-directories. A reason why I hate using the Sub-Directory option, is it adds /blog/ on the url of every post made on the main website, which requires you to get a plugin that removes that from the url. And you cannot create blogs with the same slug of a page, which makes it so that you have to get a theme that allows custom menus to make it so that you can link to the blogs in the sub-directory.
But of course, you can always do some theme customization, to make it look like you have multiple blogs in one installation, without having to rely on creating more than one blog, or by using the network version of Wordpress. Which there is some documentation on how to make specific categories and posts show up only on specific pages, making it look like you have more than one installation.
I have my 60% heart in making 2 different sites but then i think of what and how do all this.
I am new in regards of companies. I have made a lot of sites and sold them at profits but have never thought about creating a personal blog or company site. Now when i am thinking about this, it is confusing me. I can make company sites for others at cheap prices and professionally too but making one for myself seems to be a tough part 😛
Can somebody guide me on how can i make a company site? which template to use? what should be the domain name?

I would personally go for two separate sites. On two separate hosts, too, if possible. Reason being the two sites are separate entities. You never know what might happen to any one of them. So whatever happens to one of them should not affect the other one.
Keep them separate. People want professionalism when reading your business blog, not what crazy shit you did on your weekend when you got shitfaced with your mates. If you get where I'm coming from...
