plural of forum

yep, it derives from latin, millenium=millenia. In latin the plural form is very complicated.
 
I never knew that! Usually when I talk about a whole group of foras I usually just say "forums". How interesting!

It's a lie. Forums sounds correct so it must be.

Oh wait, this is English, the most illogical language other than barking.
 
Intriguing. I'll still be saying the apparently-incorrect word forums however because fora isn't going to be known to many people.

Also I hear Finnish is more irrational than English. Lol. Never tested it myself though.

I have a feeling that if someone threw the word into daily conversation, people would have no clue what they were talking about... So, yeah, I'll stick to 'forums' as well. Interesting bit of trivia, though.
 
I'm going to start saying Fora, just for the fact it's not well known. 🙂
