Reading people - are you good at it?

Some people have quite a good poker face. Some don't. How good are you when it comes to reading people? What does give you the most answers when you are talking with someone.

In general, people who can't lie or pretend good make a lot of moves that gives them out. They can either start looking everywhere around and making weird gestures with their hands, their eyes, the voice, it all changes when they start making stuff up. How good do you think you might be at reading certain someone?

I can usually get a good read on people, both irl and online. I'd say a good 95% of the time my initial reaction/thought is accurate.

One close friend has the knack of assessing a person's intention and it usually works on strangers. There were many instances that he had guessed correctly like the girl who was applying as a housemaid that turned out to be a scammer. Another is the air conditioner technician who was actually a good guy and a generous person with his knowledge. But me? I can easily fall for a trap.

I can't really say I fall easily for traps. If I am skeptical about something or someone who might be trying to scam me, I will work my way around as much as I can with questions and what not to actually learn more without deciding too quickly. People usually trap themselves in their own lies 😀 As the time goes, and they are not succeeding with their intentions they start to make mistakes and point their intentions

I'll try read some books about this, but maybe I got wrong books, they seem not right. So all I do is observe everyone around me and try to answer what they're thinking or wanting. Sometimes I guess right, sometimes I not. So i'd say so so 😛

I'm pretty good at reading people. I can tell whether people lie or not. I have this from family members, who work in the police. So they are the best at judging people, and reading them.

Yeah, indeed, one of the main things you would have to pay attention, although some people might be really good at lying and not showing it. Well, in those cases, if something is shady you should use your brains more and try to make them think you are falling for it although you do not plan to do so. Once they find out that you are just wasting their time, they will most likely show it and try to find another target
