Selling signature links?

Do you ever sell signature links for real cash on other forums?

If so, why? If not, why not?

I have never sold signature links for real cash. I don't think i have even sold space in my signature for forum cash (apart from the sig ads service here of course). To be honest, I have never really put much thought into selling links in my signature. There is only really 2 forums i am active at.

Have sold a couple for real cash but prefer to do it forum cash as it helps out the community of the forum you are advertising. If you charge real cash you are not helping just keeping the cash for yourself.

This is a promotion forum where each should help promote each site. not charge.

I've never done this for forum currency or even real money. Like Fowler, I'm not active on that many forums to begin with, so really I would see this as pretty pointless. If I were active on more than five forums, then I'd consider it, but otherwise I wouldn't.

I've never done it myself, but some people do make some money from it, and I wouldn't actually rule out doing it at some time in the future.

I thought the same before, it was no good and you couldn't make a lot for it. Then I sold signature space at 4 forums I am active at and make around $80 from it, so I'm well happy.

Never done that for real cash..but i am part of few forums that have their own forum currency and i sell sig links there 🙂

I was one of the first people to do it on this forum for real cash (AFAIK). I don't really do it now because I'm not particularly active anymore.
