Is it illegal to sell Windows product keys if I bought it, and I am about to recycle my old computer? I want to get some money out of it.

Also, would you want to buy a Windows product key if it was really old? I want to sell Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 for money if it is legal.

I think computer nerds would like that as it's another thing to add to their collection. I myself should upgrade too. Meh! I would imagine it would be legal considering you brought it.

Possibly, I see people selling product keys all the time on Ebay and other sites. It is best to ask Microsoft or consult a lawyer who is familiar with copyright laws.

I'm pretty sure it's legal, and I bet a lot of people would be in the market for a key like that. XP seems to be popular still.

I think it is legal for you to sell key as long as you got them legally. .

It is legal to sell the key if it has been purchased legally. I consulted Microsoft about it before I sold the windows 7 keys on Forum Promotion which they didn't believe me even with proof via E-mails and proof of ownership of the keys...
