I posted some time going regarding looking around for VPS. Now I'm thinking in different terms. Since living in another country with less money then I had before and with my website aren't that big, I was thinking is to stay with shared hosting.

VPS is more costly buy you get to control more things and also have the full server, Yet it's more costly you might be lucky to get support and the risk are higher for ddos attacks. SO people like me want to have VPS but doesn't have the knowledge so that's why it be very costly with another $5 or so for support. and shared also keeps updated

So for my point of view with my website! Shared hosting or VPS.

I also need to change my hosting anyway since I'm on the E.I.G network of crap.

Which host are you currently using? What do your bandwidth use stats look like?

For most people, shared hosting is a better solution than a private server or VPS. Unless you have a large traffic demand, need to install non-PHP software, or have other special needs, shared hosts should be perfectly fine. I recommend Hawk Host to most people, since their prices are cheap, their support is good, and I've had good experiences with them in the past.

I'm with HostGator, almost two years with another year left on the clock. Support team is damn shocking however they are improved lately, but! still! you have to wait for something to be done.

large traffic, not at all! It's low comparing to others. Hawk Host is one of them on my list, and also scalahosting and premierehost and last mightweb

Yeah, you definitely don't need a VPS at this stage. HostGator has a fairly bad reputation for their support, so I think you'd be best switching to another shared host when you have the opportunity.

I have spent time and effort into the Advertisement. Not having any luck.

Looking into it once I have enough funds

Spend money on advertising, grow up, and start taking websites seriously.

What the god damn hell! DON'T Tell me to grow up! Who the hell do you think you are then! you have no idea what i'm dealing with on my side of things.

That was rather uncalled for Lostone...

As for VPS considerations... Unless you really need it because you have lots of projects (or large ones), don't get one.
A VPS is a considerable step up in skill/knowledge requirements. (I mean you need to know how to use terminal to do everything.) And unless you get a managed one (which is usually $30 a month at least) then you're on your own. Getting an unmanaged VPS is literally they give you login details for their VPS panel (EX- SolusVM) and then you're on your own to install everything else. So when something goes wrong, and it will, you're on your own to fix it.

Though I would definitely recommend getting off any EIG based host...

Hawk Host is incredible! Especially if you're on a budget. Their shared hosting is inexpensive and reliable, and their customer support is phenomenal. Can't beat it! Go with Hawk Host and you will not be disappointed.

The only bad thing about Hawk Host is that they require you to pay upfront for most of it, instead of monthly. 😛 Other than that I have heard awesome things about them.

Anyway, I think you're good. Unless you start requiring 10GB of bandwidth and your current host starts to talk to you about hogging the resources from everyone else, I wouldn't really switch.
