If your site can automatically switch to a custom designed mobile template when someone is using a iPhone, Blackberry, or Google Android phone would you think it be worth more then a site that just has a website template made for desktop web browsers like Internet Explorer, FireFox, and Chrome, but looks bad on smaller screens?

Like if you visit http://youtube.com on a phone or tablet YouTube would automatically redirect you to http://m.youtube.com which is the mobile template for YouTube.

I think some buyers may pay more if your site is smart enough to switch your site to a mobile website template for easier viewing on smaller mobile screens like Phones and Tablets. The buyer will save time by not having to design and code his own mobile template and the automatic redirect code when the site detects you are using a tablet or phone to visit the site instead of a desktop browser like IE, FF, Chrome.

Hah, yeah. These are basically apps but you don't need to download anything but the data for the pages so they're better to me.

Same for me, I prefer the mobile version of Facebook at http://m.facebook.com and Twitter at http://mobile.twitter.com and Youtube, Tumblr, and Google's mobile site on mobiles compared to downloading and looking for an App since I don't need to install an App, and mobile sites work on older tablets and phones which uses an old unpopular web browser and operating system like Symbian, Java, WebOS, Palm, etc.

Definitely, if any website has been customized to that level, where they have considered mobile users, it is definitely worth more - not only in value but shows the dedication as well.

I agree I think it also shows dedication.

When I visit a cellphone/tablet blog or forum which does not have a mobile template I find it kind of weird since their site is about cellphones and tablets, so their site would be improve if it is view able on cellphone and tablets.

I think most of its readers also browse the web with cell phones and tablets as well.
