Your Quick Review
Forum Pros:
For starters, the banner is pretty unique; and nice you didn't overdo it with bright colors and graphics. I like the dispaly of videogame accessories and icons to the side of the forum title.
The forum layout is very well covered, and set-up. Though, i feel that suggestions should be placed duirectly under the site news; try and keep things organized, and tight. Since both relate to the forum; they should be close to one another.
Forum Cons:
I really don't understand the Halo 3 Fileshare Board up in the top category. You're a general gaming site; but, right off the bat, feels like I'm walking into a site that's more in favor for Halo 3.
Under your general gaming board, I'm pretty sure that could cover multi-platform news/discussions. I'd recommend dropping the multi-platofrm board, add more to the genreal gaming discussion description; and combine the two sections.
And, for my own personal tastes ... I'm not fond of forum's that fill the entire screen. Maybe try downsizing your forum width. Even if it's from 800-850 pixels wide; I feel it'll give your forum a better look, and close off some of that empty space in the forum body; especially as i read topics, and posts.
Final/General Thoughts:
It seems like a pretty good forum, with all the gaming basics covered. But, there's nothing really unique; except maybe the Halo 3 fileshare, but that dowsn't give anything for the other gamers who don't play Halo.

The simple, yet, unique, look of the banner.
What was disliked most about the website/forums:
The width of the forum ... and that there weren't any border lines down the index page, separating board descriptions//topics/replies/lastest posts. And, it took awhile to get to the "Forum" waiting for the home page to load up.
