SouthPark V.S Family Guy

I've never seen Family Guy and I USED to watch South Park before they ran out of show ideas and started making up literally the most boring and random crap ever (no offense to S.P watchers). Now I watch neither.

I like both, and watch them equally frequently.

However:

Family guy is alot more intellectual. South park is more immature, depends what you find funny.

Seriously, are you KIDDING me!??!?! South Park whips the digital CRAP out of Family Guy in the intellectual department (later episodes, not earlier). Albeit, sometimes it is hard to sift through the extremities presented to find the real meat of what is being commented on (and sometimes, like most mass media franchises, there isn't anything to be said at all), but, hey, that's what good satire is all about, right?

(Modern) South Park is a social/political commentary on the utter stupidity of society and the powers that be, presented through the eyes of children. Many of the better jokes are only funny, so long as you actually give a little thought to the issues being addressed (and can tolerate a lot of the extra wtf's they throw in there).

Family Guy can be excruciatingly witty, but generally rests on the brainless side; one usually doesn't have to give it 2 seconds of thought to figure out what's going on.

Brian Griffin: Wait a minute. I know where we are! The park is near here! We're near the park, Lois! Oh, that's the tree! I peed on that!

I prefer family Guy, its not as offensive as South Park and somehow I find it funnier.

Family guy has no real plot in it (and its not intellectual humour lol), its funny the first time then after that its not that funny. While south park episodes aren't bad when you watch them like 5 times.

I have to say, the new south park is rubbish compared to the old one's.

i think i mentioned South Park earlier in this topic,

having seen almost every episode, i have decided to change my opinion to Family Guy. I find it less offensive towards colored people and those who believe in specific religions (Eg: Jews, Mormons, etc..)
