I notice after time when they get lazy, or bored of the forum, they tend to post really poor quality posts with spelling errors like "good post, I agree, thx, or gibberish. etc" or just copied and paste replies, just to spam a few links after a few days. This is one of the reasons I decided to ban them.

Had someone on CT do this not too long ago. The person's responses were never original, and it was always a copy/paste deal of what somebody else said. We've been keeping an eye out, but the person hasn't been back since, so I don't know what happened there.

My experience with these types of spammers is they post only 5 times, the posts are to do with the topic but still random, posted only in the general area not in the music discussion, some post links, others don't and they have a spammy sig.

I used to keep the accounts as they did contribute to the site in some way, but after a while all I got registering where these human bots, Had a big problem with them, So I banned the IP addresses and deleted the post/accounts.

Not had a problem since.

Spam = ban. End of story.
