Sprint is reportedly working on a $20 billion bid for T-Mobile. What do you think of the third and fourth biggest cellular giants in the US possibly merging? Are you a customer and do you think it would be good or bad? 🙂

AT&T tried to purchase T-Mobile for $39 billion but wasn't allowed by the Justice Department due to them not thinking it was in the countries best interested to have 100 million+ customers in the same company with regard to competitors - so it would be interesting to see if this bid would even ever make it past the Justice Department.

If this deal happens, I am going back to tin cans and string.

I left Sprint for T-mobile and I have been happy since.

I highly doubt that would work, as iPhonefreak mentioned.

I don't really see the problem with having AT&T buy T-Mobile though, as they are both GSM. Having over 100 million subscribers is not that much when you throw in all of the other carriers. I mean Microsoft controls way more of their market (desktop and laptop OS) than AT&T + T-Mobile would together. Verizon, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular would be more than enough to keep AT&T from becoming a monopoly.
