How would you manage this? You usually want the staff to help promote. They aren't members of promotion forums and refuse to join any. What would you do?

I think its enough that the staff are there volunteering THEIR time at YOUR board. You should be the one out advertising. Now if they want to help out with that then that is just icing on the cake.

I've been lucky enough to have staff such as Luke and Tayne. They both own hosting companies and know quite alot about promotion. I wouldn't mind hiring a newbie as well. 😉

I've never demanded a staff member to go out and advertise for me. I'm actually fortunate. They do on their own free will. Not on promotion forums, though. Just similarly themed forums that they post on. They just simply where the sig and link.

Plus, members themselves are pulling in new members, just from spreading the word.

Though, I was the only one advertising for almost the entire first year of the forum. Things have changed, big time; and it's great to finally get a break after all the hard work. I don't even think about advertising, anymore. Most new members are either coming from Google, or regular members spreading the word to their friends.

Try to put together a Promotion Team. Find members on FP, FA, and all other advertising forums that are on them everyday. Post in the job centre and see if anyone is interested. :great:

Totally agree. Many of the staff at FP are part of many advertising forums but we don't force staff to advertise us or to do promotion for us. Alot of the staff do promote us but they don't have to and that is their choice.

I advertise my board myself. My staff do the jobs that they were recruited for. If I had promotion staff, they should advertise, but because it's the job they volunteered/were recruited for, not because they must because they're on the staff.
