The joys of Cloud Hosting and a CDN

I've been using the cloud (Amazon Web Services) to host my forum with EC2 Servers and CloudFront CDN and its been nice with super fast page loads. I also use CloudFlare to protect my forum from attacks. What are your opinions on this? Are higher costs worth the added speed? I think so. What about you?
