First Off Your Going To Need PhotoShop When You Do Have PhotoShop Do What I Do

First Thing You Should Do Is Have Good Brushes Its The Main Part
To Check Your Brush Click On Window Then Brushed Just Like Shown Below:

Then Select The Brush And Start Brushing Randomly!

And You Should End Up With This

Now When You Download It Using The Big Pic Not The Small
Now Open That Picture

And Drag It Into Your Sig And You Should End Up With Something Like This

Now When Your Done That And IT Looks Something Like Mines
Just Press "Crtl + Shift + E" What That Did Was Flaten Your Layers
Into One. Then If You Wish You Can Press "Crtl + U" And Get It Better
And I Will Use "Crtl + U"
And You Will End Up With This

Now Open It And Drag It In If Its To Big Just Press "Ctrl + T" And Then Shrink It

Nice guide (I just got photoshop CS2) and how can I get it so that if I have a character that isn't in a full black background cropped out of it and put in a new picture? I have tried the magnetic lasso tool but it makes me mad sometimes, when i reach the end then it goes 1/2 way across the screen.
Thanks for any assistance...

I am trying to make a sig using the following picture:

I am trying to cut smiley out but leave the rest of the clan behind. When I use the lasso tool, it works, but it is hard to maneuver. Is there and easier way to do it, or is lasso the only option?

You could use the rectangular tool and cut the image out, then edit it with lasso and rubber to your liking, otherwise the lasso is the best way.

Now you know why when someone wants us to cut something out a picture for their sig or banner we are reluctant as its not totally easy.

Ok, I'll try the rubber thing next time that I am on that computer. I cropped it and made it as small as I could, but PS seems to not like it. I wish they made something that would just make a rough guess at it and then you could move around the lasso and stuff like that.
