TNG has started a new system to accept staff. This system allows the users to send in Staff Applications or Nominations, although these submissions are only viewed by the current TNG staff to preserve the users' privacy. We've found that this new system gets our members to say more in their applications to avoid embarrassment on the public section of the forum. After one of these submissions is sent, it cannot be edited by the user who created it and it is then displayed in one of the TNG Staff's hidden forums for discussion.

Both methods (Nominating a User or Submitting an Application) require the same starting process. That process is, to start off using this link. It shows a board only the Staff can see, although you may post a topic in it. We have made it viewable only to the Staff to hold your privacy from other members.

This task is quite simple. Just remember, this part of the topic is not for nominating yourself. Use the link given above and post a topic with the Subject title saying "Nomination - [User's Name]" and using the Guidelines below.

Applying Yourself

This system is much different from asking to be a Staff Member. Asking to be a Staff Member gets you direct "nos" and you will be punished, while in this system, it makes us simple for us to discuss your position while you have given your application from your own point of view. Still, as listed above, you must use this link. When posting using this link, the topic Subject should be exact or similar to "Staff Application - [Your User Name]".

Inside you application, you should give us a decent description on each of the qualities below. You may make a large paragraph showing us your qualities, or you may list each category listed below and give a short description on each.

Required Staff Qualities

Maturity - List how mature you are and how calm you can remain in any type of situation. This also includes how well you can work with other Staff Members and how well you can be understood.

Intelligence - All Staff Members are required to be intelligent and well-knowing. This is to give a good example out to our members. This also can depend in many ways how the site is affected.

Kind and Helpful - Our staff members should be kind and helpful so we do not upset our members. Also, one of the main jobs of the Staff is to help out other users.

Understanding of TNG Rules - All staff must know the TNG Rules well so that we can set a good example for our members and have them continue to respect us.

Site Activity - Our Staff Members should be on the Site Frequently to take care of any situation given, and again, to set a good example to our members.

You will not be contacted if your position is declined, although you will be contacted if you are selected. You may re-submit a Staff Application for yourself once every eight days. You may send in a Staff Nomination for another user at any time, but please only do it if you really feel that user deserves a Staff Position.

Also, if it says your topic has been deleted and isn't viewable, do not worry. We have received your Application/Nomination.
